Privacy

Loopwalk turns a track you upload into release visuals. This page says what we keep to do that, who processes it for us, for how long, and how to delete it. You sign in with your email address (a link or a 6-digit code; we keep no password), or with Google.

What we store

  • Your account. Your email address, the display name you choose, your plan, and how many songs and transcriptions you used today (the free plan's limits). We email you about your account and your tracks (a sign-in code, “your track is ready”, a warning before a free track expires), and about product news only if you ask for it.
  • Your tracks. The audio file you upload (and a compressed copy for playback), the vocal stem we separate from it, the analysis (beats, sections, notes), the cover art and your lyrics, so the studio can play your track on any device you sign in on. Splitting the instruments needs a GPU, so it runs on our analysis servers, not in your browser.
  • A link you import from. When you paste a link instead of uploading, we fetch that one file and keep it exactly like an upload, with the link and the time you confirmed you may use the track, so we can answer a copyright claim about that file.
  • Your studio. Your projects (the settings of each version of a track, with a small picture of it), saved looks, brand files (logo, background, fonts) and your last session, so they follow you to any device.
  • Your exports, as a record. Which kind of file you exported, its size and when, so the plan's rules apply. The files themselves render in your browser and are saved to your device, never to our servers.
  • In your browser. Only this device's preferences (view and quality, input device, export defaults, panel layout) and the sign-in cookie that keeps you signed in. Clearing your browser data removes them; nothing of your tracks or projects is kept there.
  • Usage events and errors, such as which button you pressed, whether an export finished, or an error the page hit, to see where the product works and where it doesn't. Before you sign in they carry no cookie and no identifier that follows you; after you sign in they carry your account's id and plan. No audio, no email address and no name goes into them.

What we don't do

  • We never publish your audio. It plays for others only on a share link you make, and only until you stop it.
  • We don't sell or rent your data.
  • We don't use your music to train models.
  • The preview and the export render in your browser; the finished video is saved to your device, not to our servers.

Who can open your track

  • Your tracks belong to your account. Nobody else can list, open or change them; a link to one of your tracks in the studio opens only for you.
  • Share links. If you share a project (the studio's track menu, Share), anyone with its link can watch it on a public page, without an account: they hear your song and see that project's look, with its title and artist, your cover and lyrics if the project shows them, and your display name (never your email address). The page is unlisted: we don't link to it or let search engines index it, but anyone you send it to can pass it on. We count how many times it is opened, without recording who opened it. A link shared from the free plan shows a “Not for commercial use” badge in the picture. Stop sharing at any time (in the Share dialog, or the switch in Your projects) and the link stops working at once; it also stops when the track is deleted or expires, or the account is deleted.
  • If someone else uploads exactly the same file, we analyse and store the audio and its analysis once. Your title, artist, cover, lyrics and projects are yours alone, nothing links your account to theirs, and neither of you can see the other.

How long we keep it

  • Free plan: a track is deleted 30 days after you last opened it, with everything made from it; opening it moves the date, and Your projects shows it. We email you a week before.
  • Unlimited: your tracks are kept while the plan is active. If it ends, the free plan's 30 days start that day.
  • A file whose upload never finished is deleted within a day.
  • Your account is kept until you delete it.

Deleting a track, or everything

  • A track: in the studio, open the track menu (the ··· button at the top) and choose Delete track and stems, or delete it from Your projects. It goes at once: the file, its stems, its analysis, its projects, your cover, your lyrics and its share links. If the analysis is still running, it stops. If someone else uploaded exactly the same file, the one shared copy of the audio and its analysis stays for them, with nothing of yours attached.
  • Your account: on the Account page, choose Delete my account and type your email to confirm. Your account and everything in it are deleted at once: tracks, projects, looks, brand files, lyrics and the export record. We send one email to confirm it.
  • Videos you exported stay on your devices. Our database backups roll over within 7 days.

To leave the email list, reply to any message or write to hello@loopwalk.io.

Who processes data for us

  • Vercel (USA): hosts the site and its API.
  • Supabase (AWS, us-east-1, USA): the database, sign-in, and the storage of your files.
  • Modal (USA): the GPU servers that separate the instruments and analyse the song. Each file is processed and then deleted from them.
  • Groq (USA): transcribes the lyrics from the vocal stem, only when you ask for a transcription. It does not keep the audio.
  • Resend (USA): sends our emails.
  • PostHog (USA): product analytics and error reports, as described above.

Each processes data only to provide its service to us. Their servers are in the United States.
