loopwalk

Music visualizer templates that hear the drums, bass and vocals apart.

Loopwalk has 18 templates in six kinds: cover art, lyrics, 3D worlds, lines, particles and abstract. Upload a track and we split it into stems, so the kick, the bass, the voice and the melody each move their own part of the picture. Every template renders 16:9 for YouTube and 9:16 for Reels, Shorts and a Spotify Canvas, in your cover's colours or one of 8 palettes.

Below is a real render of each one, a line on what drives what, and a guide to which one fits your release. They aren't After Effects project files: each template is a 3D scene in the studio, and you preview it on your own song for free.

18 templates · 200 styles · 8 palettes · 32 screen effects · 16:9 and 9:16 · Colours from your cover

All 18 templates, by kind.

Each tile is two bars of the same drop from our demo song, so the differences you see are the templates' own. The cover is off in these renders, so where a template would show your cover you see its palette stand-in.

Which template for which release.

Start from what you already have for the release, then from how the song moves. Every one previews free on your own track, so the quickest test is to try two side by side.

By what you have

  • Strong cover art

    Halo · Vinyl · Bars · Hi-Fi Deck

The four cover-art templates put the picture in the middle and build the motion round it: a spectrum ring, a record label, a tile over water, a cassette in a hi-fi. The colours come from the cover too, so the scene matches the artwork without any setup.

Most of the 3D worlds hang the cover inside too: on the end wall of Room, on the LED wall of Stage, as a poster in Lofi Room, graded into the sun in Synthwave, and as a planet's surface in Cosmic. Swarm can gather its particles into it.

  • No cover yet, or a busy one

Helix · Light Rain · Scope Lines · Fluid

Helix and Light Rain never put the cover in the scene; they only take its colours, or a palette you pick. Scope Lines in its line mode does the same.

A cover full of small detail reads poorly at the size of a record label or a corner tile. Abstract looks such as Fluid take its colours and let you skip the picture. Every cover-art template also has a palette fallback when the cover is off.

  • Lyrics

    Lyric Video

In Lyric Video the words are the picture: each one lands on its sung time, timed to the vocal stem from lyrics you paste. Lyrics can also sit over any other template, and eight of them keep a band of the frame clear for the words.

Timing is measured on English, Spanish, German and French. Portuguese, Ukrainian and Korean run but aren't measured on singing yet. Japanese isn't aligned. The lyric video maker page has the details.

  • A logo

    3D Object · Halo · Room

Every template can show your logo in a corner. Three put it in the scene itself: 3D Object turns it into a solid of chrome or glass that jumps on the kick, Halo can put it on the disc in place of the cover, and Room inlays it in the mirror floor, where the bass warms it.

For a label or a DJ brand that releases often, a logo template keeps every upload recognisable at a glance.

By how the song moves

  • Lo-fi, jazz, soul, slow and warm

    Lofi Room · Vinyl · Hi-Fi Deck

Quiet songs need small reactions: a drop running down the glass on the snare, a lamp that breathes with the bass. Lofi Room is calm by design (it has its own page). Vinyl turns at the tempo with the tonearm on the song, the format these genres already use on YouTube. Hi-Fi Deck swings a VU needle per stem.

  • House, techno, drum-led dance music

    Tunnel · Stage · Room · Bars

A steady kick wants a template built on it. Tunnel locks its travel to the beat and lunges on each kick; Stage fires strobes on the kick and lasers on the drop; Room walks you toward the cover on every kick. Bars rolls a wave through its row.

These flash a lot. The export's Flash-safe switch slows any flashing to under three a second, and a Canvas always has it on.

  • Synthwave, retro, 80s pop

    Synthwave · Hi-Fi Deck · Lyric Video

Synthwave is the neon grid road to a banded sun, its drive set by the tempo. Hi-Fi Deck has a boombox and a car stereo among its six devices. For words, the VHS Tape and Cassette Label styles of Lyric Video fit the same era.

  • Ambient, cinematic, long builds

    Cosmic · Fluid · Helix · Feedback

When the change happens over minutes, pick a template where the sections do the work. Cosmic moves between a galaxy, a planet, a black hole and a nebula as the song moves through its sections. Feedback cross-fades to another look in the chorus and the breakdown, Fluid changes its layout by section, and Helix coils in the bridge and unwinds in the breakdown.

  • Hip-hop and rap

    Lyric Video · Vinyl · Hi-Fi Deck

Dense verses suit Lyric Video word by word, where each word lands as it's rapped. For a beat tape or an instrumental, the Crate Digger style of Vinyl puts the record in front of a wall of sleeves, and the Street Boombox style of Hi-Fi Deck needs no words at all.

  • Rock, metal, a live band

Stage · Halo · Scope Lines

Stage is a concert seen from the crowd, the cover on the LED wall and the follow spot on the voice. The Heavy Pulse style of Halo hits hard on the kick. Scope Lines draws the real waveform for a rawer look, or one bold waveform over a photo of the band.

What every template shares.

Pick a template, then a style. The rest works the same in all 18: the stems, the colours, the shapes and the way it renders. For a full YouTube upload, the YouTube visualizer page walks through the export.

  • ColoursFrom your cover, or 8 palettes, or your own 3
  • Shapes16:9 · 9:16 · 1:1
  • StemsDrums · bass · vocals · guitar · piano · other
  • Screen effects32, plus 10 ready-made stacks
  • FreeFull-quality preview on your song · stills
  • Video filesWith Unlimited

Each template lays itself out again for 9:16, so a Reel or a Canvas is composed for the tall frame, not cut out of the wide one. Every template draws a moment the same whether it's played, seeked or exported: the export is the preview.

A 3D engine draws every frame. Models only listen: they split the stems and find the beats, the sections and the sung words. Nothing is generated footage, and the same settings always give the same file. The audio-reactive visualizer page shows how each stem is heard, and the Canvas size guide checks an 8-second loop before you upload it.

Hear your own song in each one.

Upload the track and switch templates while it plays. The preview is free at full quality, with the stems. Video files and stills come with Unlimited.
